Are you in the “Twitter is pointless” camp?
Twitter Chats: A Goldmine of Traffic, Followers and Knowledge—shared by Heidi Cool.
I met Heidi through #blogchat, a popular Twitter chat hosted by Mack Collier. Twitter chats are scheduled gatherings of people on Twitter to discuss pretty much anything that interests them, using a #hashtag to keep track of the conversation. There are chats for everything from blogging to social media to small business owners— over 80 of them are listed in this great running list of Twitter chats.
What are some of your favorite Twitter chat groups?
Social media strategy tip:
- Set up a Twitter account if you don’t have one already.
- Scroll through the Twitter Chat Schedule and find 2-3 topics that seem interesting to you.
- Schedule the chat on your calendar.
- Login to your Twitter account. Find the chat group using Twitter search.
- Listen. Share if you wish. Follow the attendees. Develop a relationship.
How important is business office decor to you?
Georgina Laidlaw raises the question, “Can Office Decor Make a Difference?“
For those of us who are business owners, things are pretty clear-cut. We can have whatever we like in our offices, within the constraints of our space and budget. My office is spacious with lots of natural light and located within a beautiful suite of offices (for which I don’t have to buy supplies or clean!).
My personal business space is a life support for me.
The wall echos the deep rich amber tones of my sweet tea.
Colors in the wall canvas imitate a sprig of mint and wedge of lemon. Smaller pieces share sentiments I believe:
“If you obey all the rules you miss all the fun.”
“Success is teamwork.”
“Desire. Ask. Believe. Receive.“
Tell me about your business environment – past and present. Does decor make a difference?
