Does Twitter Interfere With Blogging?

Do you find yourself using Twitter more often than posting to your blog?
I do.

It seems I can easily connect and build relationships using Twitter, but when I sit down with the intention of writing a post… My brain gets all goofy.

Instead of being spontaneous and sharing what I know about the power of social networking and online marketing, I fret over finding just the right words and format.

I’m making myself bonkers!

Hi Kathy…. funny I have also been thinking about this lately.

I have started using Twitwall more now, and since then I have noticed a dip in my blog productivity. Guess I have to learn to use the wall more for longer tweets as opposed to a “blog type” post.

I think that also keeping a regular schedule of twitter time should help as well. Problem is, it can be so addictive, especially when you start making great connections.

I also used to fret about having perfect blog posts (it is for my business) and then I decided, the blog is an extension of me and my personality, and guess what, I’m not perfect! (Just don’t tell my husband I said that!)

Happy Blogging and Tweeting, from one Kathy to another!

I think the ease of using Twitter draws me to quickly posting there. Of course, it would make more business to post here, then send an update to Twitter for the full story.

My blog still remains number 1 for me. Though I do spend time on Twitter interacting as well. What I find (usually) is that the conversations on Twitter make for good blog-fodder. Or I’ll throw a question in there and see if it’s blog-worthy :-)

You raise a good point about using Twitter for blog post ideas. I tend to retweet and move on… Maybe I’ll do a search and capture those fleeting thoughts.
